# AI Coaching — Getting Started

## What it is

### What is AI Coaching?

AI Coaching is a guided conversation space inside Omniscio where you sit down with Claude for a structured interview about a topic that matters to you — your week, a career decision, a relationship, a goal you are chasing — and walk away with a written summary you can keep and revisit.

It is not a chatbot you ask questions to. It is more like a thoughtful guide who asks _you_ questions, listens carefully, and then writes up what it learned so you have something concrete to take away. Over time, those write-ups build into a picture of who you are and what you care about.

### What is an artifact?

An **artifact** is the written document that comes out of an interview. It might be a reflection on your values, a career retrospective, a relationship map, or a set of goals — whatever the interview was about.

Artifacts are saved automatically when Claude finishes the interview. You can also press the **Save artifact now** button at the top of a conversation if you want Claude to wrap up early.

Once saved, your artifacts appear in the **Artifacts** section of the AI Coaching sidebar. You can re-read them, edit them, and track how they change over time through version history.

### What is the Core Profile?

After you have completed at least three interviews and have three saved artifacts, Omniscio automatically synthesizes a **Core Profile** — a short document that captures who you are across all your write-ups: your themes, values, key facts, and open questions.

The Core Profile is not something you write. It is generated from your artifacts and updated every time you save a new one. It gives Claude a cohesive understanding of you, so later interviews feel like continuing a conversation rather than starting from scratch.

## Where to find it

### How to turn it on

1. Open **Settings** (the gear icon).
2. Go to **AI Coach**.
3. Find **"Enable AI Coaching"** and flip the toggle on.

The AI Coaching project appears in your left sidebar immediately — no restart needed. You can turn it off the same way whenever you like.

### You need an API key

The conversation itself works with any Omniscio login. But three background features — compressing your saved write-ups into shorter versions, generating a per-write-up summary, and building your Core Profile — need an **Anthropic API key**.

To add one, go to **Settings → Accounts** and enter your key.

If you enable AI Coaching without a key, everything still works — you can have conversations and your write-ups are saved — but you will see an amber banner at the top reminding you that profile-building is paused until you add a key.

### Starting your first interview

1. Click **AI Coaching** in the left sidebar.
2. You land on the **Dashboard** — a collection of interview topics, each with a short description of what you will explore and what you will walk away with.
3. Click any topic that interests you. A greeting appears instantly (no waiting, no cost yet).
4. Type your first reply and hit Enter. That is when the real conversation begins.
5. Answer the questions at your own pace. When the conversation has gathered enough material, Claude writes up a summary and saves it automatically.

There is no wrong order. Every topic is available from the start — pick whatever feels right.

## How it behaves

### What happens next

As you complete more interviews, your artifacts start working for you in two ways:

- **Inside AI Coaching**, each new interview draws on what you have already shared, so the conversation builds on itself rather than repeating.
- **In your regular Omniscio sessions**, a condensed version of your profile is quietly shared with Claude so it understands who you are without you having to explain every time.

You are in control of how much is shared — you can adjust the detail level on any artifact, and the whole feature turns off with one toggle.
