# Productivity group (sidebar)

## What it is

The **Productivity** group is a collapsible row in the Omniscio projects sidebar that nests the
tools that help you organize, track, or manage your work. It is the acknowledged catch-all for
general-purpose tools that don't fit a more specific group. It ships **collapsed by default** --
click its chevron to expand.

What's inside:

- **Tasks** — your task board.
- **Scratchpads** — quick throwaway notes.
- **KMS** — the encrypted knowledge/secret vault.
- **Time Tracker** — a manual personal time tracker.
- **File Converter** — convert files between formats locally.
- **Browser** — the embedded web browser.
- **Typing Tutor** — typing practice.
- **Ollert** — a Trello-style board.
- **Arij** — knowledge capture.
- **ContextDock** — browse and insert external knowledge libraries into agent context.
- **Coffer** — secure document vault.
- **Habits** — habit tracker.
- **Mission Control** — team project management board.

## Where to find it

Its home is the projects sidebar, where it sits as one collapsible row among the other groups.
Because it ships collapsed, you will see its name before you see anything inside it. Clicking the
**group row itself** (not the chevron) opens a small roll-up panel that lists the members, each one
a shortcut to open it directly.

## How it behaves

- Click the **chevron** on the left of the row to expand/collapse. The choice persists across
  launches.
- To move a member out of the group for solo sidebar use, **drag it** to a new position or
  right-click and choose **Remove from Category**. Right-click the solo item and choose **Return to
  [group name]** to put it back.
- Nothing is locked in: the group is an organizing device over the sidebar, so moving a member out
  and back changes only where it appears, never what it does.

## For agents

`productivity` entry in [integration-registry.ts](../../src/shared/integration-registry.ts); its
children carry `parentGroupId: 'productivity'`. Render nesting is driven by
`SIDEBAR_PARENT_GROUPS` + `consolidateChildrenUnderParent` in
[ProjectsSidebar.tsx](../../src/renderer/src/features/dashboard/ProjectsSidebar.tsx) — render-only,
no DB re-parent. Collapse state: `productivityCollapsed` (default `true`). See the
