Run persona QA

**Run persona QA** is a saved recipe that ships with Omniscio. Press it once and one cloud machine drives the app as six AI personas — a first-timer, an impatient user, a critic, a keyboard-only user, a chaos tester and a team lead — then puts the published report link in your inbox on a card whose button opens it.

What it is

You do not need a terminal for this. Run persona QA is a recipe — the same kind of saved multi-step workflow you can build yourself — that Omniscio installs for you when the app starts. Open the Recipes surface and it is there, ready to run.

What it does, in one step: it starts one cloud session, and that session runs the persona QA pass. Six AI personas each drive a real copy of the app on a throwaway profile, clicking around the way different kinds of people would, and write down what confused them, what broke and what felt unfinished.

When the pass finishes it publishes a report and raises a single card in your inbox. The card has a button that opens the report. It also tells you what the run cost and how many personas ran.

Nothing about it runs on your own computer, and nothing it does is a way to change your real data — the personas work on an isolated copy.

Where to find it

Where it shows up in Omniscio

  • Recipes: it is listed as Run persona QA alongside your own recipes, ready to run.
  • Inbox: one card when the report is ready, under the project the run belongs to.
  • Ask Omniscio: saying "run persona QA" finds it, and so does asking any session to run it by name.

What it costs

One cloud machine per run, plus whatever the AI driving the personas spends — capped at $2 by default. The cap is a field on the recipe, so you can raise or lower it there before running.

How it behaves

How to use it

  1. Open the Recipes surface and find Run persona QA.
  2. Run it. It uses the project you started it from, unless you set the Project to run in field.
  3. If you want a different spending cap, set Spending cap for the persona run first. The default is 2, meaning two US dollars.
  4. That is all. One cloud machine starts, the pass runs, and the report card arrives in your inbox when it is done.
  5. Click the card's button to read the report.

You can also fire it without opening Recipes: ask any session, or Ask Omniscio, to "run persona QA".

What it will not do

  • It never runs the pass on your computer. If the cloud machine cannot be started, it says so on a card instead of quietly running locally.
  • It never sends anything outward. Every persona is blocked from real submissions — a bug report, feedback, a help-desk message, an email, a share or a text. That block is deliberate and is not something to work around.
  • It never goes silent. If the runner is missing from your build, if the run stops early, or if the cloud launch is refused, you get a card naming which step failed in plain words.

When it goes wrong

What you see What it means
The card says the run failed Something stopped the pass — open the card's own sentence, which names the step. The raw output stays in the run's session if you want it.
The card says persona QA did not start The cloud machine was not started — usually the cloud feature is off, or the launch was refused. Nothing was charged.
The card says the runner is not installed That build does not carry the persona runner yet. Update Omniscio and try again.

A run that fails costs nothing beyond whatever had already been spent.
