Scheduled messages, drip and snooze
Four features do the same kind of job — they hold something and hand it back to you at a time you pick. A **scheduled message** is a note to your future self on a recurrence; a **drip** is a queue that releases items a few at a time; **snooze** hides a session or inbox row until later and brings it back to your attention; **idle release** lets a session that has been waiting on you let go of its memory without losing the conversation.
What it is
- Scheduled messages — write once, receive on a cadence. A subject and a body of Markdown delivered silently into your unified inbox on a recurrence you set (once, daily, weekdays, weekends or chosen days at a time), with no approval step and nothing to respond to. See Scheduled Messages (compose-to-self, fire-into-inbox).
- Drip — queue a pile, receive it a few at a time. Named queues hold mixed content (notes, links, files, whole folders) and release items into the inbox on a cadence, so a sixty-link reading list arrives in pieces. A drip with a single item can be set to repeat forever. See Drip (queue-and-trickle inbox feeder).
- Snooze — hide it until later, then be reminded. A session (or an inbox row) disappears from your attention lists until a time you choose, then returns marked as needing you — even if it was paused, ended or archived when you snoozed it. See Snooze a session.
- Idle release — a waiting session gives its memory back. Once a session has finished its turn and been waiting on you past a threshold, Omniscio releases its CLI process and reclaims the memory; the conversation stays on screen and your next message brings it back transparently. See Idle session release.
Where to find it
- Scheduled Messages and Drip are virtual projects in the sidebar. Scheduled Messages' row is hidden by default — turn on Settings → Features → "Show Scheduled Messages in sidebar". Drip is on out of the box (Settings → Features → Enable Drip).
- Snooze is on the session's own menu and on inbox rows.
- Idle release is a setting, not a panel — it works in the background once it is on.
How it behaves
- Scheduled messages and drip cost nothing to fire. Both deliver into your inbox locally; neither spends on a model just to deliver.
- Snooze is not pause. Snoozing only hides something that is already waiting on you; it does not stop an agent from working, and it does not kill a process.
- Everything comes back. A snoozed item returns to your attention, an archived scheduled message is restorable (and Ctrl+Z brings one straight back), and a released session respawns on your next message.
- Nothing is approval-gated. These are all local timers — no inbox approval card appears for a scheduled delivery, a drip release or a snooze coming due.
