The Dashboard (your command center)

The Dashboard is the main screen Omniscio opens on. It has three regions: the hubs rail on the left, the sessions rail beside it, and the open session's chat filling the rest of the window.

What it is

Your command center — everything in one view. The window is divided into three regions side by side:

  • The hubs rail (left) — every hub you have added. A hub is a folder on your computer that you brought into Omniscio; under each hub sit its sessions, the AI conversations running against it.
  • The sessions rail — the sessions belonging to the selected hub, plus the built-in tiles (Inbox, and any other sidebar rows you have switched on).
  • The center panel — the chat for whichever session is currently selected. This is where you read what the agent is doing and type back to it.

At the top of the left sidebar are view tabs that switch the rail between the Regular view (your hubs organised by folder, with their sessions underneath) and the Inbox view (only the sessions and items that need your attention).

Where to find it

It is the window itself — Omniscio opens here. Clicking a session on a rail opens its chat in the center panel.

How it behaves

  • Clicking a session focuses its chat in the center panel; the session you are watching stays put while it works.
  • The top toolbar carries quick-access buttons for the app's common actions — notifications, voice control, the debug console, feedback, mobile setup, guided tours, bookmarks and recipes among them.
  • The rails are yours to reshape. Which rows appear, their order, and whether they are grouped by folder are all settings; see sidebar-items-visibility.md.
  • On a phone or in Simple Mode the layout collapses to a tab bar rather than the three desktop regions.
