Workflow Coach (RETIRED 2026-05-14 — subsumed by Weekly Summary)

The Workflow Coach feature was retired on 2026-05-14 and subsumed by the Weekly Summary, because the two overlapped in purpose: a weekly, privacy-preserving look at how you use Omniscio with AI-generated suggestions. The sidebar panel and weekly inbox alert are gone, the settings moved, and the six detectors now feed the Weekly Summary instead.

What it is

The Workflow Coach feature has been subsumed by the Weekly Summary feature. The two features overlapped in purpose (a weekly, privacy-preserving look at how you use Omniscio, with AI-generated suggestions) and Omniscio now ships exactly one such surface.

Where to find it

The Workflow Coach's own surfaces no longer exist, so there is nothing of it left to open: the sidebar Suggestions panel and its weekly inbox alert are gone. What replaced them is found in two places — the Weekly Summary inbox row that arrives every Monday morning, and its panel at Settings → Email & Summaries → Daily digest → Weekly Summary.

How it behaves

What changed for users

  • Sidebar Suggestions panel and weekly inbox alert are gone. They are replaced by the Weekly Summary inbox row that appears every Monday morning, carrying both the stats summary and the same kind of behavioral coaching suggestions.
  • Settings → Experimental → Workflow Coach is gone. The replacement panel is Settings → Email & Summaries → Daily digest → Weekly Summary. Your previous enabled flag and daily cost cap are migrated automatically on first launch after the upgrade.
  • The six privacy-preserving detectors live on — they are now inputs to the Weekly Summary LLM call instead of standalone outputs. The privacy contract (hashes/counts only, with a single redacted sampleText carve-out, all canary-tested) carries over verbatim.
  • First-launch backfill. On the first Monday after the upgrade, Weekly Summary does a 4-week backfill so you don't lose history.

For agents

Where to look

  • Feature docs: weekly-summary.md
  • Privacy contract (unchanged): /tests/unit/services/workflow-coach-privacy.test.ts
  • Detectors (still invoked by Weekly Summary): /src/main/services/workflow-coach/detectors.ts
