Native slash commands (run /model, /clear, /cost for real)
Type Claude Code's own slash commands — /model, /clear, /cost, /context, /status — in the Omniscio composer and have them run in the underlying Claude Code session rather than being sent to the model as text. What each command does, which sessions it works in, and the setting that turns it off.
What it is
What it is
Native slash commands let you type Claude Code's own slash commands — /model,
/clear, /cost, /context, /status — directly in the Omniscio chat composer and have
them run for real in the underlying Claude Code session, instead of being sent to the
model as literal text.
Without this, typing /cost in the composer just delivers the string "/cost" to the model,
which replies with a guess. With it on, the same keystroke runs the actual Claude Code
command and returns the real result — the live model switch, the true token/cost figures,
the real context state.
Where to find it
The chat composer of any Claude Code session. There is nothing to open or install — type the command at the start of a message and send it.
How it behaves
How to use it
Type the command at the start of a composer message in a Claude Code session and send it:
/model— switch the session's model live (the change takes effect for subsequent turns, the same as choosing a model from the picker)./clear— clear the session's conversation context./cost— show the cost/usage for the session so far, plus how long it has run./context— show the current context usage./status— show the session's status details.
The commands only run for Claude Code sessions (they are Claude Code's own commands). In a session on another engine, or with the feature off, the text is delivered normally.
Cost on a non-Claude model
Claude Code has no price for the vendor models some sessions run on (DeepSeek, Kimi, GLM,
MiniMax, CrofAI), so its own /cost figure for those is a guess at Claude's prices — it can
read tens of times the real cost. Omniscio prices those sessions itself from each model's
published rate, so for them /cost and /status show Omniscio's own figure as the session
cost, and Claude Code's dollar amounts are left out of the breakdown rather than shown as
though they were real. The token counts and durations are still Claude Code's real numbers.
On a Claude session nothing changes — /cost shows Claude Code's own figure, as always.
Settings
Setting key: nativeSlashCommandsEnabled. It is shipped, so this reveal setting no longer
changes anything — a shipped feature is always visible, and turning it off does not return you
to sending slash-prefixed text to the model. (/effort and /mcp are dispatched too, beside the
commands named above.)
