My Work

A cross-board personal task view that aggregates every item assigned to you across all Mission Control boards, organized into six date buckets that follow your local timezone, with a table view, a calendar view, a search filter and a quick-create modal.

A cross-board personal task view that aggregates every item assigned to you across all Mission Control boards, organized by due date.

What it is

My Work pulls together every board item where you are assigned in the People column and shows them in one place. Items are grouped into six date buckets (Past Dates, Today, This Week, Next Week, Later, Without a Date) so you can see what needs attention now versus what is coming up.

Two views are available:

  • Table view -- the default. Each date bucket renders as a collapsible section with columns for Group, Board, People, Date, Status, and Priority. Empty buckets auto-collapse. Clicking a row opens the full item card in-place (never navigates away from My Work).
  • Calendar view -- the same items plotted on a month/week calendar grid.

A search bar at the top filters items by name or board name. The "New item" button opens a quick-create modal where you pick a board and group, enter a name, and the item is created and assigned to you.

Where to find it

Open My Work from the Mission Control sidebar. It is always available to logged-in users.

How it behaves

My Work has no dedicated settings. The date buckets follow your local timezone (viewer-day boundary), so items land in the correct bucket regardless of your location. It is always available to logged-in users, and clicking an item opens the full card in place rather than navigating away, so you never lose your place in the list while working through it.

For agents

Key files

  • src/plugins/mission-control/web/features/my-work/MyWorkPage.tsx -- page shell; owns fetch lifecycle, search filter, table/calendar tab switch, and inline item-card overlay
  • src/plugins/mission-control/web/features/my-work/myWorkApi.ts -- defines MyWorkItem interface, fetchMyWork() with 30-second client-side cache, calls the /my-work cloud endpoint
  • src/plugins/mission-control/web/features/my-work/myWorkBuckets.ts -- six date-bucket definitions (past/today/this-week/next-week/later/none), bucketFor() classifier using startOfViewerDay, isOverdue(), bucketItems()
  • src/plugins/mission-control/web/features/my-work/MyWorkTable.tsx -- table view with six collapsible date-bucket sections
  • src/plugins/mission-control/web/features/my-work/MyWorkCalendar.tsx -- calendar view of the same items
  • src/plugins/mission-control/web/features/my-work/myWorkGuards.ts -- runtime type guards for API responses (parseMyWorkItem, parseMyWorkItemList)
  • src/plugins/mission-control/web/features/my-work/myWorkStatus.ts -- resolves status column value + settings into display text and color
  • src/main/services/cli/pm/pm-my-work-routes.ts -- CLI control-server routes: GET /pm/my-work (cloud proxy) and GET /pm/navigate/my-work (deep-link)

Technical details

  • Renderer feature lives entirely in src/plugins/mission-control/web/features/my-work/ (9 files)
  • Data flows from cloud: renderer calls fetchMyWork() which hits authedFetch('/my-work') against the cloud backend; no main-process relay needed
  • Client cache TTL is 30 seconds; stale cache is shown immediately while a background refresh runs
  • Date bucketing uses startOfViewerDay() from lib/viewer-day.ts, the same day boundary shared with the Filter popover and Timeline views
  • 2 CLI routes registered by registerPmMyWorkRoutes(), feature-gated via pmCliEnabled
  • Separate "Where's My Work" subsystem in src/main/services/wheres-my-work/ classifies local git branches (landed / waiting / rejected / stranded) via IPC channel wheres-my-work:get -- related but distinct from the PM My Work board-item view
