Session list — per-section sort, filter and Overseer crews
Sort and filter each sidebar section on its own, and expand an Overseer to see its live crew. Covers the three orders each section header offers, the filter box and the banner that says how many rows the filter is hiding, and the crew list that folds out under an Overseer row.
What it is
The sessions sidebar splits the regular list into three sections — Interrupted, Live and Paused. This page covers the two ways you can now shape what those sections show, and the crew list that nests under an Overseer.
Nothing here changes anything until you use it. A sidebar you have never touched looks and behaves exactly as it always did.
Where to find it
The sessions sidebar. Each of its three section headers — Interrupted, Live and Paused — carries ONE ⋯ menu: the actions for every session in that section, with the sort and filter options at its foot. The OVERSEERS section is the one whose rows expand to show a crew.
How it behaves
Nothing here changes anything until you use it: a sidebar you have never touched looks and behaves exactly as it always did. The three parts below are the per-section sort, the per-section filter with its hidden-rows banner, and the crew list that folds out under an Overseer row.
Sorting one section
Each section header has exactly one small ⋯ menu on its right edge, lined up with every other header's. Its top half acts on the section's sessions (Pause, Stop, Archive and so on); while the section is open, its foot also offers three orders, with a tick beside the one in use:
- Recent activity — the default, and the order the app has always used: whichever session you last spoke to sits at the top.
- Name (A–Z) — alphabetical by session name.
- Stalest first — the sessions that have gone the longest without any activity come first. This is the one to reach for when you are looking for something that has quietly stopped moving.
Each section keeps its own choice. Sorting Live by name does not touch Interrupted or Paused. The ⋯ on a header turns to the accent colour whenever that section is sorted or filtered away from its default, so a changed view is visible even with the menu closed.
The choice is remembered: it survives switching projects and restarting the app, and the same order is applied on your phone and to keyboard and swipe navigation, so next-session always lands on the row you can see next.
Filtering one section
Pick Filter this section by name from the same ⋯ menu and a small search box opens under the header. Typing in it narrows that section to the sessions whose name contains what you typed. It is case-insensitive, and like the sort, it applies to that one section only. Press Escape or the × in the box to clear it and close it; an empty box also closes when you click away.
The filter stays until you clear it. That is deliberate — but it means a filter you set and then forgot about could hide running sessions. So while a filter is on, the section shows a banner saying how many rows it is hiding and out of how many, with a Clear button beside it. That banner is on screen whenever the section is open and the filter is active. Even a filter that matches nothing keeps the section's header on screen and clickable, so you can always open it and reach Clear — a running session can never be hidden without the sidebar giving you the way back.
Expanding an Overseer to its crew
The OVERSEERS section lists one row per Overseer that looks after the project you are viewing. Each of those rows now carries a small chevron on its left.
- Click the chevron to expand the row and see that Overseer's live crew — the sessions it is currently running — nested underneath, each with its usual status dot.
- Click a crew row to open that session, exactly as clicking any other session row does.
- Click the chevron again to fold it away.
- A row with no chevron belongs to an Overseer with no live crew right now.
The list is folded by default, so the section stays the same compact list it has always been until you open something. The fold is remembered per Overseer per project.
Large crews are capped at eight visible rows with a "+N more" line beneath, so one big mission cannot turn the sidebar into a wall.
What the crew list does not include
- The Overseer's own session. That is the row you just clicked, and it is already drawn above.
- Crew members who have left. They are no longer part of the live crew.
Sessions that belong to an Overseer still appear in the ordinary Interrupted / Live / Paused sections as well — the crew list is a second way to reach them, grouped by the mission they belong to, not a replacement for the main list.
