Video Studio panel

Video Studio makes short AI video clips, paid for with Video Studio credits. This first version of the panel connects your Video Studio account to this computer and shows your balance. It is in development: nothing appears until you turn on both of its switches, and it works on the desktop only.

What it is

Video Studio is a creative tool for short AI video clips of up to 30 seconds, made with the leading video models. You pay for clips with Video Studio credits; one credit is one cent.

This version of the panel does one job: it links this computer to your Video Studio account and shows the account's email and balance. Making clips arrives in later releases.

Where to find it

There are two switches, and both start off:

  • Settings → Lab → Video Studio. While this is off, nothing about Video Studio appears anywhere.
  • Settings → Built-in Apps → Enable Video Studio. This adds a Video Studio row to the Creative group in the sidebar.

Open the row to see the panel. It is not offered on the phone view.

How it behaves

Connecting

  1. Press Connect. Omniscio checks that you are signed in to Omniscio and that your computer's keychain is unlocked.
  2. Your browser opens the Video Studio sign-in page. Sign in with Google or an email link, accept the terms, and confirm you are 18 or older.
  3. The page hands you back to Omniscio, which finishes the link privately and stores this computer's two keys, encrypted. They are never shown on screen and never written to logs, settings or exports.

Only the computer that pressed Connect can finish the link, only once, and only within 10 minutes. If Omniscio restarts in the middle, the panel says "That link didn't finish. Try again." Cancel forgets the link at once, so finishing the sign-in afterwards connects nothing.

What you see

State What the panel shows
Not connected A Connect button
Waiting "Finish signing in in your browser", with Cancel
Connected Your Video Studio email and balance, for example "1,250 credits ($12.50)", with Disconnect
Different email A note that your Video Studio sign-in differs from your Omniscio one, with Reconnect
Keychain locked "Your computer's keychain is locked. Unlock it, then try again." — nothing is sent
Update needed Video Studio says this Omniscio is too old to use
Connect again Video Studio no longer accepts this computer's keys
Not available yet Video Studio cannot be reached through Omniscio yet
Sign in first You are not signed in to Omniscio
Not answering Video Studio is not answering; try again in a minute

Disconnecting

Disconnect offers This computer or Everywhere. This computer's keys are always cleared, even when Video Studio cannot be reached. If "Everywhere" could not reach Video Studio, the panel tells you your other computers are still connected, so you can try again later.
